Chinese Democracy

Guns N’ Roses have released the long overdue album and now find themselves in the middle of a political crisis. We all knew this would happen. When you name your album “Chinese Democracy” then you are just asking for trouble. And trouble is exactly what it’s caused.

So far the album has been completely banned in China and the website has been blocked. Discussion of the album is also banned.

A government spokesman states that the album is a “venomous attack” on China.. and I agree with him. ‘Songs’ on the album are written about the banned ‘spiritual’ group, F.G (abbreviated) and contain lyrics such as “If your great wall rocks, blame yourself.”

Guns N’ Roses are not the band they used to be. They lost important members and Axl Rose went his own way, taking the band name with him. The Guns N’ Roses today is not the Guns N’ Roses of the past. Axl knows this. This is why they are no way near as popular as they used to be. So how can they sell the album? Simple. Deliberately write the album to be anti-China (very popular these days) and generate a load of negative publicity. All publicity = good. People buy the album wondering what the fuss is all about.

Guns N’ Roses have no right getting involved in politics and they have no right to insult the Chinese people with their mindless drivel.

I won’t be bothering this album in respect of my Chinese friends and the rest of the Chinese people. Also because Guns N’ Roses suck.
