It has been rumoured for a while that the upcoming NC20 netbook from Samsung will be powered by the VIA Nano processor, and this has now been confirmed in a press release by VIA. The Samsung NC20 will be powered by the VIA Nano U2250 which clocks at a respectable 1.3GHz on an 800MHz FSB. Now some people will see this as being slower than the Intel Atom found in Samsungs NC10 netbook, but the VIA Nano is said to be more efficient and faster at performing some tasks. It remains to be seen if this is the case.

The NC20 will be priced at £379 with some retailers receiving stock by next week.
